Â I have a sneaking supicion what REALLY worked is that the Installer clean up program install upgraded me to administrator, and that was what allowed the update to I got all updates and got installed. This isn't a Windows Update problem at all, it's a Windows binary/install problem. Doing things with WU and SoftwareDistribution aren't going to help you here at all.
